General Information
International music competition is open to participants from all countries and of all nationalities.
X “Night in Madrid” competition will take place online in the form of video submission.
The contest will be held from 1st to 30th of November.
There will be two rounds. One video recording will be evaluated in the first and the final round.
REGISTRATION AND VIDEO SUBMISSION DEADLINE IS 15, 2020.
The video recording has to be made after July 1, 2020.
The video recording has to be uploaded in personal Yandex or Google disc and sent as an open-access link.
The final round of the video performances will be broadcast on “The Night in Madrid” YouTube channel on November 21-22 2020 from 17.00 to 23.00 Moscow time.

SENIOR GROUP II: 19 TO 27 YEARS INCLUSIVE
TO SUPPORT YOUNG PERFORMERS WHO HAVE GRADUATED FROM HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS, THE AGE CATEGORY "PROFESSIONAL" HAS BEEN ALTERED TO: 28 TO 40 YEARS INCLUSIVE.
FOR VOCALISTS:
JUNIOR GROUP: 18 TO 27 YEARS INCLUSIVE.
SENIOR GROUP: 28 TO 35 YEARS INCLUSIVE.
THE OLDEST MEMBER OF THE CHAMBER ENSEMBLE AND OR QUARTET SHOULD NOT BE OVER 40 YEARS OLD.
ENSEMBLES ARE NOT LIMITED IN COMPOSITION AND NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS.
The age of the contestants is determined as of 30 OCTOBER 2020.
4. PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS
For all categories and age groups specified in the paragraphs and rules, the following program requirements are applied:
Contestants of younger and middle groups perform two different pieces, including one virtuoso piece. Contestants of senior and professional groups perform two pieces, one of which is the work of FREE CHOSEN and other work will be chosen between the

- Junior group (two works) - up to 10 minutes;

- Senior group II (two works) - up to 25 minutes.
- "professional" group - up to 25 minutes
The order of performance is determined by the participant.
In all categories, the program is performed from memory , except for chamber music (including sonatas). performed by heart, except for chamber music (including sonatas).
5.PROCEDURE
5.1 COMPETITION IS HELD IN 2 ROUNDS - QUALIFYING AND FINAL
5.2 IN THE FIRST ROUND (QUALIFYING) ) ALL THE VIDEOS SUBMITTED WIL BE EVALUATED BY THE INTERNATIONAL JURY PRIVATELY.
5.2 THE BEST VIDEOS WILL PARTICIPATE IN THE SECOND ROUND (FINAL).
5.4 RECORDINGS OF PARTICIPANTS, CHOSEN FOR THE FINAL ROUND WILL BE PUBLICLY BROADCAST ON OFFICIAL YOU TUBE - CHANNEL OF THE CONTEST 21 - 22 NOVEMBER from 17.00 to 23.00 (Moscow time)/
5.5 AFTER THE FINAL AUDITION UNTIL NOVEMBER 30, 2020, THE RESULTS OF THE CONTEST WILL BE ANNOUNCED ON THE WWW.FEST-CONTEST.ORG WEBSITE
5.6 The Organizing Committee has the rights to broadcast audio and video recordings of competition auditions.
5.7 The Organizing Committee reserves the right to publish photographs of the contestants in any media relating to the "NIGHT IN MADRID" contest.
6. APPLICATION PROCEDURE AND ENTRY FEE
6.1 Applications for participation in the competition, together with a video of the participants' performances should be sent to the following address: fest-contest@yandex. ru

6.3 Entries for competitive programs must be made during the period
July 1 to October 30, 2020
Taking into account the difficult economic situation in which many families have found themselves during this difficult period, the Organizing Committee has decided to reduce the entry fee for participation in the competition.
6.4 Entry fee for individual participants is - 40 euros
6.5 For individual participants representing the country organizing the
contest - festival entrance fee is - 30 euros.
6.6 For an ensemble of two performers, the entrance fee is 60 euros.
for 3 or more performers - 75 euros.
6.7 The amount of the entry fee is not refundable:
(a) If the participant refuses to participate in the competition.
(b) If a participant does not make it to the final round.

8. JURY
8.1 The jury consists of well-known musicians from different countries.
8.2 The jury's decision will be published on the competition website on November 30, 2020.
7.3 The jury's decision is final and cannot be appealed.
8.4 Voting is held in secret. Ballot papers cannot be made public. The results will be announced without disclosing the names of the members of the jury who voted for the participant.
8.5 Jury members vote independently.
8.6 The jury also awards special prizes.
9. PRIZES AND AWARDS
"GRAND PRIX"
The diploma of the laureate and 150 euros will be awarded by the jury to the best performer or ensemble among all nominations and age groups.
Diplomas and prizes in each age category are awarded as follows

The jury has the right not to award all prizes and also to divide the prizes among the participants.
Diplomas are awarded:
For the best performance of a work representing the country of the participant,
For the best performance of a contemporary work,
Diploma to the youngest participant of the competition.
Organizing committee, jury, sponsors have the right to set additional special prizes and awards for the contestants
The cash equivalent of the prizes is intended to purchase sheet music, music accessories and cover other costs associated with music education of young people.
10.SPECIFICATIONS
The program must be recorded from the beginning to the end.
The recording should not be edited, there should be no transitions, halts or stops. Entries do not have to be professional, but they should give the jury the opportunity to evaluate the contestant's performance.
The video should show: the face of the contestant, the instrument and his hands.
The volume level should not be too quiet, but not too loud, there should be no effect of overload, crackling and other interference. Professional sound processing is also not allowed.
The recording must be signed: participant's name, composer's name, title, category and age.
Recording is allowed, both at home and in the concert hall.
The recording of the participant must be uploaded to his personal Google or Yandex disc and, in the form of a link with open download access, attached to a letter with the application and photo of the participant.
The photo should be in JPG format.
The photo should be attached to a letter with an application.
The application is to be filled out in English.
The application should specify the exact names of the works, the names of composers should be written according to their international and conventional writing.
A letter with an application for participation in the competition should look like this:

By applying for the competition, the applicant agrees to data processing.
Participation in the competition means full acceptance of the terms of the competition.
